Andrew Porreco holds a degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. For over two decades, he has been deeply embedded in the world of structural steel, quality management, and standards compliance. His deep technical foundation, industry insight and hands-on experience have made him one of the most trusted names in the field of AISC erector certification.

Andrew served as the Manager of Operations and Associate Lead Auditor for the Quality Management Company (QMC), the auditing arm of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC).


While there, he:

• Reviewed and certified over 1,000 onsite audit results

• Participated in both domestic and international audits

• Assisted with the revisions of more than 290 quality manuals for companies seeking AISC certification

• Helped shape audit checklists, policy documents, and auditor training
